A MOLLE clip turns a belt sheath into a pack or vest mount, so your multitool or light rides exactly where you want it. Here is how MOLLE works and how to set it up.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is the grid of webbing rows you see on tactical packs, plate carriers, and range bags. A MOLLE clip weaves through that webbing to lock your gear in place.
How to mount a sheath
Swap your sheath's belt clip for a MOLLE clip, then weave it down through the webbing rows and snap it closed. It holds firm and is easy to reposition when you want to move it.
What you can mount
Most of our kydex sheaths accept a MOLLE clip, so you can move a Leatherman or Gerber sheath from belt to pack in seconds. See our sheath guide for fitment.
Frequently asked questions
What does MOLLE stand for?
It refers to the webbing-grid attachment system used on tactical packs and vests. A MOLLE clip weaves through the webbing to hold gear.
Can I put any sheath on MOLLE?
Most kydex sheaths can swap to a MOLLE clip. Check that your sheath supports a clip change.
Is MOLLE mounting secure?
Yes. Woven correctly through the webbing, a MOLLE clip holds firmly and will not bounce loose in normal use.
