The Trayvax Venture is the company's billfold: a precision-machined 6061 aluminum frame saddle-stitched by hand to a single panel of 3-ounce Horween leather, with a magnetic closure that opens for card and cash selection and snaps shut on its own. It is the Trayvax for people who carry cash and want a wallet that opens like a wallet. This review covers the leather, the frame, the magnets, and the one warning.

Horween
Chicago's Horween tannery makes some of the best leather in the world and the Venture uses a single panel of it, which means fewer seams, less thickness, and a patina that develops evenly.
The frame
A machined aluminum frame gives the billfold structure so it does not collapse the way an all-leather one does, and it is what the leather is stitched to by hand.
The magnets
The closure opens with a thumb and re-engages on its own. Trayvax notes the magnets are safe for credit and debit card stripes but should be kept away from low-coercivity stripes like hotel keys.
Compared
The Contour is the front-pocket plate wallet; the Venture is the back-pocket billfold. For an all-leather bifold, the Kodiak Slim RFID Bifold.
