The Taurus G2C is probably the most-carried budget 9mm in the country, and the PT111 G2 and G2S it descends from are everywhere too. All three share a slide, which is the good news for holsters. The bad news is that a lot of what fits them is soft nylon that does not cover the trigger. This guide covers the kydex IWB we make for the G2C family, exactly which models it fits, and how to carry it.

G2, G2C, G2S: what fits
The PT111 G2 was the original, the G2C is the same gun with a new name, and the G2S is the single-stack version with a slimmer grip and the same slide. Because a molded holster grips the slide and trigger guard, one mold fits all three. The newer G3 and G3C have a different slide and are not covered by this holster.
The holster, reviewed
Clip & Carry IWB Holster for the Taurus PT111 G2 / G2C / G2S
Molded in .08-inch kydex to the G2C slide with folded edges and a full-length sweat shield. The clip cants 20 degrees either direction, retention is set with screws, and the screw spacing accepts a claw. The gun clicks in audibly and the trigger is fully covered, which is the entire reason to move a G2C out of a nylon pouch. Handmade in the U.S.A. by a military veteran, right or left hand, black or carbon-fiber pattern, lifetime guarantee. For a $44.99 holster on a gun that often costs under $300, it is the best money you will spend on it.
How to carry a G2C
Appendix
The G2C's 3.2-inch barrel and compact frame carry well at appendix with the clip near neutral. Add a claw if the grip prints; the G2S's slimmer grip prints less.
Strong side
Fifteen to twenty degrees of forward cant at 3 or 4 o'clock tucks the grip.
The manual safety
The G2C has a frame-mounted thumb safety. The holster is molded to clear it, and it does not interfere with the draw. Whether you carry with it on is your call; the holster covers the trigger either way.
Frequently asked questions
Does this fit the Taurus G3C?
No. The G3C has a different slide. This holster fits the PT111 G2, G2C and G2S.
Does it fit the G2S?
Yes. The G2S shares the G2C's slide; only the grip is slimmer.
Does the holster cover the trigger?
Fully. That is the main advantage over the soft holsters commonly sold for this gun.
Can I add a claw?
Yes. The retention screw spacing accepts one without drilling.
Is there a left-hand version?
Yes.
The bottom line
The G2C IWB holster gives a budget gun a proper molded holster: trigger covered, audible click, adjustable cant and retention, guaranteed for life.
