The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 turned the .380 pocket gun into something people actually want to shoot: 10+1 or 12+1 rounds in a gun under an inch wide, with a real trigger and sights, and an optics-cut version on the way in the Carry Comp. It is the most-searched new holster fit of the year. This guide covers the three kydex holsters we stock for it, IWB, IWB with claw and optic cut, and OWB paddle, and how to carry a gun this small.

Which Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 models share a holster
The Bodyguard 2.0 is a new frame, not an update of the old Bodyguard .380, and none of the old holsters fit it. The thumb-safety and no-safety versions share a slide and trigger guard, so one mold covers both.
The holsters, reviewed
Bodyguard 2.0 IWB Holster
The everyday choice. Formed over a CNC-milled aluminum mold, with Posi-Click retention, cant adjustable from -5 to +20 degrees, an undercut trigger guard for a clean grip, an open muzzle for threaded barrels, and clearance for suppressor-height sights. 1.5-inch belt clip, right or left hand, made in the USA, lifetime warranty. $41.95.
Bodyguard 2.0 IWB Holster, Plus Line (Optic Ready, Claw, Spring Steel Clip)
The upgrade for appendix carry: an optic-ready cut for a slide-mounted dot, a claw included to pull the grip in, and a monoblock spring steel clip instead of ABS. Same mold and Posi-Click retention. $61.95.
Bodyguard 2.0 Paddle Holster
The outside-the-waistband version on a paddle that slides over the belt without unthreading it. Same aluminum-mold fit and Posi-Click retention, cant adjustable -5 to +20 degrees, open muzzle, suppressor-sight clearance. Right or left hand, made in the USA, lifetime warranty. $46.95.
How to carry a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0
Appendix
A gun this small is the easiest appendix carry there is. The Plus Line with the claw and steel clip is the one to buy for it; the grip is the only thing that could print, and the claw handles it.
Strong side
The standard IWB at 3 or 4 o'clock with a little forward cant. The Bodyguard is light enough that the ABS clip is fine here.
Optics and lights
If you add a dot or buy a Carry Comp, use the Plus Line holster; the standard IWB and paddle are cut for the plain slide.
Frequently asked questions
Do old Bodyguard .380 holsters fit the Bodyguard 2.0?
No. The 2.0 is a new frame and slide.
Does the holster fit the thumb-safety version?
Yes. Both versions share the slide and trigger guard the holster grips.
Which holster works with an optic?
The Plus Line IWB, which has an optic-ready cut and includes a claw.
Is there a pocket holster?
The Bodyguard 2.0 is at its best in a waistband holster; it is small enough that the IWB rides like a pocket gun without the slow draw.
Left hand?
Yes, all three.
The bottom line
The Bodyguard 2.0 Plus Line holster at appendix is the best way to carry the best .380 on the market. The standard IWB and paddle cover everything else.
