The Glock 17 is the full-size Glock: 17 rounds of 9mm, a 4.49-inch barrel, and the gun most police departments and militaries picked when they picked Glock. It is bigger than most people want to conceal and easier than most people think. This guide covers the kydex IWB we make for the 17, why it also fits the 22 and 31, the light-bearing options, and how to hide a full-size pistol.

Which Glock 17 models share a holster
The 17 (9mm), 22 (.40) and 31 (.357 Sig) share the full-size slide and frame, so one molded holster fits all three. The 19 does not fit; its slide is shorter and will not seat. The 34 and 35 have longer slides and need their own mold, though the open-muzzle light-bearing holster below accepts them.
The holsters, reviewed
Clip & Carry IWB Holster for the Glock 17 / 22 / 31
Molded in .08-inch kydex with no excess material, so the gun seats with an audible click and stays put. The edges are folded rather than left square, the sweat shield runs the full length of the slide, and the belt clip cants 20 degrees either direction. Retention is set with screws, and the screw spacing accepts a claw. Handmade in the U.S.A. by a military veteran, right or left hand, black or carbon-fiber-pattern kydex, lifetime guarantee. $44.99. On a full-size gun the full-length sweat shield keeps the slide off your skin all the way to the rear sight.
IWB Holster for the Glock 17 with a Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X
Molded to the TLR-7A / 7X light body with an open muzzle, so it fits the 17, 22, 31, 34, 47 and 49 with the light attached. Optic-compatible cut, claw mount. Formed over a CNC-milled aluminum mold, with Posi-Click retention, cant adjustable from -5 to +20 degrees, an undercut trigger guard for a clean grip, an open muzzle for threaded barrels, and clearance for suppressor-height sights. 1.5-inch belt clip, right or left hand, made in the USA, lifetime warranty. $49.95.
Paddle Holster for the Glock 17 with a TLR-7A / TLR-7X
The OWB paddle version for the range, duty, or open carry where legal. Optic-compatible cut. The outside-the-waistband version on a paddle that slides over the belt without unthreading it. Same aluminum-mold fit and Posi-Click retention, cant adjustable -5 to +20 degrees, open muzzle, suppressor-sight clearance. Right or left hand, made in the USA, lifetime warranty. $54.95.
How to carry a Glock 17
Appendix
A 17 at appendix is doable for taller people; the slide length is the limit when you sit. Neutral cant, a claw, and a belt that does not sag.
Strong side
Where most full-size guns live. Fifteen to twenty degrees of forward cant at 3:30 or 4 o'clock rotates the tall grip along the body and lets the long slide ride below the belt line under an untucked shirt.
Optics and lights
The Clip & Carry mold clears standard sights and low-mount optics on a slide with no light. With a TLR-7 attached use the light-bearing mold; the light changes the profile and a standard holster will not click.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Glock 17 holster fit a Glock 19?
No. The 19 slide is shorter and will not seat in a 17 mold.
Does this holster fit the Glock 22 and 31?
Yes. All three share the full-size slide and frame.
Does it fit a Glock 34?
The standard mold does not. The open-muzzle TLR-7 holster does, with the light attached.
Can you conceal a Glock 17?
Yes, at 3:30 or 4 o'clock with forward cant and a sturdy belt. The grip is the part that prints, so a claw helps.
Is there a left-hand version?
Yes, for every holster listed.
The bottom line
The Glock 17 IWB holster at strong side with forward cant is how a full-size Glock disappears. Molded, adjustable, guaranteed for life.
