Best Flashlight Holsters and Sheaths (Molded, Not Nylon)

A flashlight holster from the light's own box is a nylon tube with a flap, and it is why lights end up in a drawer: two hands to get it out, and it wears through at the belt loop. A molded sheath holds the light by shape, draws one-handed, and wears vertical or horizontal on a Tek-Lok. This guide covers the sheaths we make, which lights they fit, and how to pick a mount.

Nitecore EDC series

PETG sheaths molded to the EDC23 ($24.99, Tek-Lok), EDC29 ($19.99, belt loop or Tek-Lok) and EDC37 ($19.99, belt loop). Made in the USA. The flat Nitecore bodies do not fit any round-light holster, so these are the carry solution.

Olight Baton

A molded sheath for the Baton 3 Pro with a Tek-Lok, $24.99, and one for the Baton 3. The Baton's clip is good; the sheath is for a duty belt or a pack strap.

Olight ArkPro

Olight's own belt-loop holster for the ArkPro, ArkPro Lite and ArkPro Ultra, $9.99.

Belt loop vs Tek-Lok

A belt loop is slim and vertical only, for a 1.5-inch belt. A Tek-Lok clamps to belts up to 2.25 inches, locks, and mounts the sheath vertical or horizontal. Duty belt, Tek-Lok. Everyday, either.

Why molded

The light clicks in and stays through running and bending, comes out with one hand, and the sheath never wears out. Nylon does none of that.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make a sheath for the Nitecore EDC37?

Yes, with a belt loop.

Does the EDC29 sheath fit the EDC37?

No. Each has its own mold.

Can I wear a flashlight sheath horizontally?

Yes, on the Tek-Lok versions.

What is the sheath made of?

PETG, molded to the light, made in the USA.

Do you make one for Fenix lights?

Fenix lights ship with a holster and clip; our molded sheaths are for the flat Nitecore and Olight bodies.

The bottom line

For a Nitecore EDC or an Olight Baton, a molded sheath is the difference between a light you carry and a light you own.
