How to draw from a sling
- Wear it to the front in a crowd or when seated, to the back only when walking somewhere quiet.
- Support hand grabs the bag and steadies it; strong hand opens the compartment. On the HIP Gunner the rip cord does this in one pull.
- Grip, draw, and step off the line. Practice the whole thing with an unloaded gun until the zipper is not a step you think about.
Off-body carry has one rule that outranks every feature: the bag stays on your body. A gun in a bag on a chair, in a cart, or on a car seat is a gun someone else can pick up. The second rule is that the gun lives in its own compartment, in a holster that covers the trigger, and nothing else goes in there.
