Olight Baton 4 Pro Review: 1600 Lumens in 111 mm

The Olight Baton 4 Pro is the current version of the light that made Olight: a 111 mm, 114 g tube with 1600 lumens and a 200-meter throw, a side switch for five levels, a new textured tail switch for instant high and turbo, magnetic MCC charging plus a hidden USB-C port, and a 3500 mAh 18650 that runs 100 days on moonlight. This review covers what the 4 Pro changed, the two charging systems, and the sheath we make for the Baton 3 Pro.

What changed

The tail switch is the news: earlier Batons were side-switch only, and the 4 Pro adds a tail button for instant high or turbo with momentary, which makes it usable as a quick-check light one-handed. The knurling changed to a mixed grip pattern, and the USB-C port hides under a rotating ring at the tail.

Two ways to charge

Olight's magnetic MCC puck snaps to the tail and charges without opening anything, which is why Batons live on desks. The USB-C port means you can also charge it with any cable in a car or a pack.

Beam and runtime

1600 lumens with a 200-meter hotspot from a light this size is the Baton's whole pitch, and 100 days on moonlight is the other end of it. The 3500 mAh 18650 is the biggest that fits.

Carry

Pocket with the clip, or on the belt in a molded sheath. We make one for the Baton 3 Pro with a Tek-Lok; check fit for the 4 Pro before ordering.
